Information used by this service

IELTSist stores the information needed to operate your account and learning tools. This can include your username, a salted password hash, hashed sign-in sessions, membership and redemption-code status, synced drafts, saved vocabulary items and practice records. In-progress study state, annotations and Coach history can also remain in your browser until you clear them or choose to sync an applicable item.

How the information is used

We use this information to authenticate you, restore work you asked to save, apply an access code, deliver learning feedback and protect service integrity. Submitted text, audio, screenshots or handwriting may be sent to the configured AI or transcription provider only when a feature needs that processing. Provider failures are shown as a failed state, not treated as a successful score.

IELTSist and STEM Campus

IELTSist and STEM Campus use one IELTSist ID for sign-in. They are complementary but independent learning products. IELTS learning data stays in IELTSist; STEM subject attempts and marking stay in STEM. We do not represent unrelated scores, progress, notebooks or access tokens as automatically synchronised between the products.

Access boundaries

A learner can access their own submitted work. Teacher or school views, where configured, are limited to authorised classroom or organisation aggregates and assigned work. Private notes, unsubmitted drafts and individual Coach chats are not classroom data.

Your choices

You can sign out, avoid optional uploads, and remove browser-held local study data through your browser. Use the support route supplied by your school or redemption-code issuer for account or access requests; this deployment does not publish a separate support mailbox.
